Notion → certified mail
Move a Notion database row to "Ready to mail" and paperplane’s Zapier, Make, or n8n action sends it Certified Mail — from $12.99, with proof of mailing, no export or re-typing.

Supported triggers and actions
| Trigger | Action |
|---|---|
| Database row status changed to "Ready to mail" | Send Letter, mail class Certified ($12.99) |
| New row added to the database | Send Letter, mail class from a row property |
How to set it up
- 1Keep the letters as rows in a Notion database: recipient, address fields, letter text or a link to the PDF, and a status property.
- 2In Zapier, Make, or n8n, trigger on the status change (or new row) and add the paperplane Send Letter action.
- 3Map the row’s properties into the action fields and set mail_class to certified (or certified_return_receipt for electronic proof of delivery).
- 4Test with Sandbox on — free, instant, nothing mailed — then go live and write the order id back to the row.

}Under the hood
This is the same native Zapier/Make/n8n action documented on the Notion and automation-app hub pages — Notion’s own database-trigger support in those platforms is what makes the row-to-letter mapping possible, not anything Notion-specific paperplane had to build.
Or skip the automation tool: ask Claude or ChatGPT
Every integration here sits on the same MCP endpoint agents use directly. Instead of wiring a trigger to an action, ask Claude or ChatGPT to draft and mail the letter. Same three tools (quote_letter, send_letter, get_letter_status), same price, same free sandbox.
Send your first letter from Notion.
Sandbox runs the whole pipeline for free and mails nothing. Live sends start at $1.99, one all-in price.

Common questions
Do I need a Notion integration or API key from paperplane?
No — the automation platform (Zapier, Make, or n8n) holds the Notion connection; paperplane only receives the mapped fields in the Send Letter action, the same way it does for every other trigger source.
Can I get proof the letter was delivered, not just mailed?
Yes — set mail_class to certified_return_receipt ($14.99) for an electronic Return Receipt in addition to the mailing proof Certified already provides.
What if the row doesn’t have a full address yet?
Address verification runs before payment on every order — an incomplete or bad address returns a structured error instead of mailing, so you can fix the row and retry.
