COMPANY
About
paperplane is the fastest way for a person to put one real letter in the mail, at one all-in price, and for their AI agent to do it for them.
We print it, stamp it, and hand it to USPS. That's the whole product, said plainly, because the product itself is meant to be plain: paste your text or upload a PDF, address it, and a real letter is in the mail — usually the next business day.
What we do
Someone mails a letter a few times a year, usually because an institution left them no choice — a landlord, the IRS, an insurer, a court. Or their AI agent does it on their behalf. Either way, paperplane takes a document and a document has to arrive on paper: ninety seconds later, it's in the mail.
Two things make that unusual. First, the price is one number: postage, printing and the envelope are included, the quote is the receipt, and there is no account or plan to get there. Second, an agent can do the whole thing — quote, confirm, send, track — through a real API and MCP endpoint. Sending stays keyless and account-free either way.
What we are not
This is the part most companies leave out of an about page, and we think it's the more useful half:
- We are not a mailroom tool for businesses mailing at volume. No bulk or presort rates, no seat-based plans or user management, no mail-merge or campaign tooling, no departments. A product for someone mailing a few letters a year has no org chart in it.
- We are not a document workflow, e-signature, or compliance platform. We take a finished document and mail it. We do not author it, route it for approval, store it as a system of record, or advise on whether a particular mailing satisfies a statute.
- We are not a “send anything” print shop. Letters, cards, postcards. Not brochures, catalogues, checks, or packages.
- We are not a mailbox. Nothing arrives here. No scanning, no virtual address, no forwarding.
- We are not free, and we do not pretend the postage is. The price includes it. There is no fee added at checkout, no subscription behind the first letter, and no rate card to qualify for.
We also don't try to be the cheapest per piece — at our volume, we can't be, and a print shop running mail at scale will always win that comparison. What we compete on is the honest total for the one letter you actually need mailed today, stated once.
How we talk about it
Plain, warm, and a little dry: “We print it, stamp it, and hand it to USPS.” Never bureaucratic, never startup-breathless — the product is boring reliability, and the voice is allowed to smile about that. Price transparency gets said with confidence, not shouted like a discount brand: if you can find the same thing cheaper, we'd genuinely like to know.
